I was also seriously considering a V6 Camaro, but you can see from my avatar what I bought.

The V6 Camaro was a lot of fun to drive (I rented one for a day) and got real good gas mileage with the automatic transmission and base wheels/tires. The styling is real cool like the other posts have mentioned, but it grew old on me pretty quick and since I need a daily driver I decided I didn't want to live with a Camaro every day.

My main point is I'd suggest you consider a used Mustang GT also -- you can get a nearly-new one for the same money or less than the V6 Camaro, you get much more liveable design and better interior, the Mustang V8 sound is something you have to experience to really appreciate, and the gas mileage isn't that much lower than the V6 Camaro. With the manual transmission most of the V6 guys on Camaro 5 are reporting low-mid 20's; that is about the same as what I am getting with my GT.

worth considering . . .
