I can't find the perfect cell mount!!! Please help

I have a Note 4. I tried the Bracketron AC vent mount and that rattled too much and made annoying squeeky sounds. I returned and bought the Bracketron that fits into the power outlet and almost took the entire dash out as it didn't easily go in and out.

Does anyone have the proclip mounts?

http://www.proclipusa.com/dashboard-..._leftorright=0

It's very pricey but I think it may be worth it at this point.

Or does anyone have any other mounts they would recommend?????

Those pro clip mounts look good. I have RAM mounts and I'm happy with them. Plus there are tons of configurations. You should at least check them out.

Why WOULDN'T you want to use a mount if you had one? If you were connected to bluetooth and wanted to change the music, it's right there in front of you without fumbling through your pocket. If you like to see the map when using your phone's GPS, its right there in front of you instead of sliding around in the passenger seat or sitting on the arm rest annoying you when you shift gears.

Check this out..

It mounts to your CD slot. Who plays CDs anyway nowadays? Looks pretty good. I'd include a pic but I'd have to mount the phone and can't take a pic while the phone is mounted.

"Universal CD Slot Mount".... #Skeptical
You actually have this and it works and doesn't mess with the CD player or make the head unit constantly think you're trying to put in a CD?

Can you take a picture with just the mount there and no cellphone? That's better than nothing...

I feel like this would rattle out over time. Also it blocks the radio lcd, depending on the size of you phone/ tablet.

Yes, I have one. It does not make the CD mechanism go crazy. It does not make any noises like it wants to suck in a CD. While I had it mounted, I pressed the CD button and the display said "No Disc."

I forgot I have another regular camera laying around the house.

This is the unit front:

I can't find the perfect cell mount!!! Please help-mount-front.jpg

Here is the rear:

I can't find the perfect cell mount!!! Please help-mount-rear.jpg

Here it is mounted vertically with the phone on it:

I can't find the perfect cell mount!!! Please help-vertical.jpg

Mounted Horizontally with phone on it:

I can't find the perfect cell mount!!! Please help-horizontal.jpg

I had to adjust it upwards for clearance for shifting:

It blocks the display and buttons when vertical but as long as I can get to the HVAC I'm good. I can always rotate the phone around to get to what I want to get to, or memorize them, or use steering wheel buttons when I can.

It shakes around a bit on bumpy roads. I took it for a 5 mile ride on the bumpiest road in my area and it hasn't fallen out. Hope it doesn't, but then again, my ride is relatively soft. I think a tablet would be too heavy and block too many controls. Phone needs to be set on bright.

I haven't long term tested it to see if it damages the CD slot but this is my experience with it so far. I think I will use it mostly for changing music and looking at the map on longer drives.

So thats it.

I looked around and found this mount at Wal Mart. Works like a charm! I had to mount a small piece of steel (supplied) to the back of my Cell phone case and then mount the magnetic holder just to the right of the radio. Works like a charm. Holds the phone securely and out of the way of any controls on the car. I ran a charging cord from the center arm rest to the phone so I can keep it charged up if I need to.

Aren't these posts mostly by member names you recognize?

I think a lot of us have asked ourselves this question and want to share our answer. There's like a million choices, the OP now had it narrowed down to less than 10 to decide from.
