I am looking at the same decision, except it is versus a 2011 V6.

My magic number for a 2010 GT Premium, manual transmission, with no additional options is $25-25.5K, out the door including dealer fees but not including registration and taxes. So I voted $23-25K but I'd actually go a little over that.

So far "you can't get there from here" -- best I have seen around here is $27K including the dealer doc fee, for a GT Premium with no options other than the Red Candy paint. I almost went for it in a weak moment, but decided to hold out.

By the way, this is better than X-Plan less rebates -- I have asked several dealers if my X-Plan PIN is worth anything more off that pricing, and they have all told me that I would pay more by using X-Plan, since they are already discounting below X-Plan, and X-Plan is non-negotiable. Strange but true.

The new Ford incentives will be released in June (current incentives expire June 1) so maybe they will get better . . . or maybe not . . . we'll have to wait and see.

Saw a '10 GT yesterday for $25.5. Don't know about the options though.

I think you can find the deal you want if you look hard enough and can drive a hard bargain.I almost got a nice 2010 premium with trackpack for 27K and that was before doing much negotiating with my dealer.I ws paying cash but did'nt let them know up front, just said I had my own financing

I'm a old 5.0 guy that loved the Fox bodies and just recently got into the S197 cars.I ended up getting a 2011 GT but I did test drive the 2010 and would have been very happy with it.They even had a nice 2009 Black GT with glass roof that I'm sure I could have got a good deal on.Check these guys out, they are doing 6-7K off 2010's http://www.frontierford.com/Santa_Cl...Ford_Cars.html

good luck and dont worry I've seen some stout 2010's including strokers that will give the 11's a run for their money.

I really wanted a 2011 but couldn't do 33K before tax/tags for the premium didn't want the base or the V6. I ended buying a 2010 GT premium loaded with NAV, comfort pkg etc for 28.5K used with 6k miles. Car is already lowered, has the gt500KR axel back exhaust, 2 sct custom tunes, 373 gears, 20% tint + some other stuff.
The car stickered for over $38k, and with the extra's already in there it saves me a good $3000 on stuff I would probably like to do to a new car. This car was previous owned by Evolution Performance. All the work was done by them.
Did I pay to much? I don't think so. Some will. Plus if I really want to, I can add a supercharger( like I did with my 03 Mach1) and make big power, but I probably won't. either way I'm out the door at 26K with 3 grand down for a pretty nice car.

I paid under $18k for a GT premium w/ 3.73 and comfort package. I was lucky with the promo I won. I could trade in my '10 GT for an '11 GT and still save several thousand in the end. In a couple months I'll have the dealer crunch the numbers just for fun. I think it will make more sense to wait until '14 model year.

I found a base GT for $22,001 in baltimore.

The dealers will get more desperate as the 2011's start dropping on their lots.

I have the same question but a 2010 GT with Premium Convertible with Automatic Transmission and Comfort Package? Is about $31K a good price?

Still hard to say, would love a 6 speed & 400+ hp 2011

Guess it would have to be $20K is what I would pay for a 2010. So for now I will wait till 2013 to buy mine.

For what it's worth, I have a 2010 GT Premium w/Comfort Package, Candy Red 5-speed with 2K miles and a dealer in Kansas offered to buy it wholesale for $26,500 when I was trying to work a deal on a Roush 427R. I was blown away by the offer especially since they were already taking $9K off the MSRP of the Roush. I decided to do mods instead of buy the Roush, but the point is 2010's are bringing great money wholesale because many dealers are being told the 11's won't be on the lot for three or four months.

Bottom line: I don't think dealers are "fire-selling" 2010's just yet. Now, come July 1st, once the 11's become available on the lots, I think 2010's start dropping quite a bit, both new and in the wholesale market.

2011 are getting to the dealers already, by the end of this month you will be able to buy one off the lot, won't have to wait until July, not even June.

I voted $29k - 33k because it would have to be a convertible.

$7500 Off is about the best Ive seen on a Premium but I think it was around $36,000 Sticker. Ive seen a Base GT for $22,500 which is about $6750 Off. So about $7100 Off sounds correct for a Premium with no additional options.

You can save another $750 by ordering a Paper Brochure form Ford as most seem to include a $750 Additional Rebate good for 60 days.

if I could find $7K off MSRP within a reasonable driving distance I would jump on it, right now about $5K is about the best around here
