Lots of folks here with wads of disposable cash....I need to make more money!
15K down....12K financed @3.9% for 60 months = very low monthly payment. Always pay extra as I want to pay her off early.

i'll answer the questions
ZERO owed
i'm 43
almost 5 years ago i started to buy $200 of discounted co. stock/week to chase a GT500
since i dollar/cost averaged i didn't lose anything but the stock didn't move much except for my 10% discount and 3+% dividend
when the 5.0 came around at 412 hp i sold 3/4 of the stock and paid $cash$
was thinking of $20k down and a low interest rate but by owning outright i have liability and comprehensive insurance, no collision and pay $480/year
it's not a daily driver, owned for a little over 3 months and have 163 miles on it

I put down $16255 ... in order to do so I sold both my '04 Mustang & '67 Fairlane plus an aditional $2800 in cash. Desired no more than $300/mo payments so I financed $10,800 though Ford Credit (0% for 36 months) and have made 4 payments so I owe $9600.

I learned a long time ago not to spend my money when I can spend someone else's, at no cost to me. With that said, I always finance, if the interest rate is lower then what I make on my cash bearing interest accounts. I have the cash, but why spend it. I have a zero percent loan, from VW, on my wife's car. Why give up my money that is making money when they are willing to give me money, at no cost to me? I have a 2.9 percent loan, on my Mustang, from the Credit Union which pays me more then that on my interest bearing accounts, so why not finance the cars.
