How to make interior lights stay turned off when door is opened?

Good instructions. If I went that route, I'd add a switch inline with that cut wire. Shouldn't be hard to do.

I might just do that. Good idea to add a switch just in case one ever wants to back to factory setting.

seriously, their there for a reason. why would you want them off though?
well I want them off because they have killed my battery twice while working on the car or being on over night when one of the doors wasn’t registered as closed
