You can get it as soon as you join. All that is needed for proof, is a screen print of your member info on the MCA page. If you don't need the PIN right away, you can wait until your MCA member packet arrives with your membership card. Any questions, let me know.

The salesperson can get your PIN number for you. Just provide them with your membership info that you printed out, showing your an active member. That is the only document they need for the X-Plan. Also, the max the dealer can charge for doc fee is $100!

In the MCA forums. I don't have the link now.
Just search X-Xplan

It will point you to a section on the Ford site, wher you can create your own pin.

that's what I did.

Hi guys, here is the link for obtaining the x-plan pin through MCA.

http://www.mustang.org/showthread.php/236-How-to-get-Ford-X-Plan-PIN-through-MCA-Partner-Program!

I signed up with MCA on Friday and got my pin right away. Hopefully I will be able to use x-plan even though I already negotiated $300 over invoice.

I'm curious, does anyone know if the the dealer can still charge for the advertising fee when using x-plan?

Andrew

I saw that too. Hopefully it doesn't work that way. My dealer is hoping my car arrives within a week and I want the best price possible.

since you already ordered your car. you should call your salesman and see if they will accept it.

Ford let me create a pin in their system immediately. I would think that is all that matters...if there is a waiting period, why would you be able to create the pin? I did tell the salesman I had a x-plan pin and he said we would redo the numbers when I go back in to arrange financing. I'll let you know what happens.

Asking the same question in more than one thread won't get you an answer any faster.

im 80% sure that we can use it. I went over to the MCA forum and found some posts where customers got the discount right after they joined and had not received their membership card yet. I think membership has to be valid for at least 60 days. Paid Mca membership is good for 1 year.
