How long do you plan to keep your Mustang for?

Hey, I have a 12'' Mustang GT with 18,000 miles on her. The car is great and for the most part I love it. The only problem I have is a front lower control arm creak over bumps. I want to keep my car for at least another 2-3 years, how about you guys?

13 GT 3300 miles. I can't wait to see/drive the 15, if it's as cool as I think it'll be I'll trade in summer of 15. My 13 will have around 10k miles by then. Scott

I plan to trade for a 2015 or for a 2014 if I don't like the 2015. My 2011 has 20K miles on it.

how much do you think we can get in terms of trade in credit by then? my car will probably have about 25k to 30k miles. My car is in fairly good condition with a few chips and small scratches on the bumper.

kind of a "ask the dealership" sort of question. depends on market, miles, color, options, etc.

i have a 13 v6 Premium and i plan on keeping it until i pay it off in about 3 years or so if mods dont take all my money. if theres not a good replacement or a baby on the way then i would trade it in on a Mach 1 if the rumors are true about it coming out in 2016

2022 as a minimum, but I'm hoping to keep it in good condition until 2030.

My last car I had for 14 years and put 268,000 miles on it. I'm hoping to do the same with the Mustang. Who knows, if I can keep it in good shape I may just hang on to it until it's a classic. I wonder what a good condition one owner 2012 Mustang would go for in 2040.

Forever! Love my Shelby!

Too bad mother nature will not let me drive her... I have a feeling winter storage is coming soon.

Well, I still have my 1983 "purchased new" F150 4X at 254k, so figure it out.
Gotta keep Steve McQueen's legacy alive!

I have a 2014 GT TP with about 1,500 miles on it and it's about to go into Winter hibernation. I'm putting too much money and time into modding my car to where I want it to get rid of it soon plus the more pictures of the 2015 I see, the less i'm liking it so I'll probably be keep what i got until the power advantages of the new model exceed what I can do with what i have - probably in the 5- 10 year range.

You know there's a TSB for this

As far as keeping the car. I modify all the cars I've own to a point were I would never get near the money I put into out of it so I always keep them as long as there drivable, the last one almost made 10 years and 150+K until someone totaled it, sad.

This.

No plans right now to get rid of her. I keep telling my wife my 16 yr old son (almost 5 right now) will inherit it. She adamantly says no, "we're not giving a 16 yr old a 650hp car." I chuckle all the time, since I just want to get her going

Imagine tho, when I was 16, and I got something like that???? Sure beats that POS 1982 ford escort wagon all rusted out that I had

I plan to buy one of the many "garage queens" that I read about on these sites from folks that don't drive them daily when they trade in on the new Mustang.

You'll then see me drive off, hopefully in foul weather with a smile on my face, as it will see the next 100K plus mileage I put on my next Mustang.

I plan to keep mine for... well maybe forever. Hopefully soon I'll have a new truck as DD and the Boss will become the weekend driver/first of garage collection.

Keeping my '14 GT TP until the wheels fall off, which will hopefully be more than 15 years!
