I wanted to start a thread to gauge how long it takes to recieve a DORA after the order was placed.

Just to see from everyone how long it takes and maybe be able to take an average by all the data.

Be able to sleep better at night knowing that ford recieved my order and it isn't sitting at the dealer collecting digital dust.

When I ordered my '07 GT a few years ago, I asked for a copy and got one in reasonable time. However, I did converse with the salesperson before I ordered, who told me who and when the person who actually did the orders would do his work, down to the day. He did find the person entered it incorrrectly - forgot to do the spoiler delete. They had to make a correction because the salesperson, not the person entering the order, caught the mistake.

I am certain 05fordgt and Five Oh Brian would provide you with insight around the process and its typical timeline, but it seems there is variation in who and how the order is entered, which influences the timing (dealer allocation played a role in it too). I would think both of these fine forum members also might be able to confirm some information for you, but hopefully, you have a good working relationship with your salesperson to ensure you don't hit the digital dust.

He just called me to let me know the DORA arrived it only took 4 days.

I ordered my car from Jeff (05fordgt) on January 28th and received my DORA on January 30th.

exactly, when I ordered mine I didn't get a copy of it until I demanded the dealership produce it ( I had to threaten legal action)...turns out the order was just sitting on somebody's desk--I ordered the car the day before Thanksgiving and the date that Ford received the order was 1/15/05 and then they tried to play stupid "what's a DORA"but I finally got the car (2 months later). The dealership was apparently changing hands when I went in & ordered it--I love the car and learned a lot, I'll never go back to that dealership & only went there because they came in with the lowest bid.
