I just a ordered a 12 Kona blue gt premium with the 400a. In many of the photos of this car the interior looks black, yet a lot of times I see that it looks grey. I know there's only 3 color choices- med stone, tan and dark charcoal which I assumed was almost black. Did I have to choose the 401a to get the black?

 

I have the 400a and it has a black interior. That's the right color as far as I'm concerned!

 

Welcome to the Kona world...black interior with the Kona looks great. I think Ford did a good job adding some bright Aluminum here and there to break up the black. The only negative thing I can say is the black leather does show off the dust. My last car had a dark beige interior and it was very hard to tell when the seats needed cleaning.

 

There is no true black... It is in fact the dark charcoal and it's only a bit lighter than true black and not really so much gray looking. No matter what interior package you order, dark charcoal is the correct interior color choice if you want the black look.

 

No matter what interior you choose, most of the instrument panel, carpet, center console, and dash will be black regardless. And yes it gets dusty in there.

 

I'd rather deal with the dust in a dark interior than drive myself crazy over dark stains on light carpets, interior panels and seat upholstery.

 

Good I'm glad. I have an 08 GT and the interior looks more grey than black. I guess Ford made it darker?

Who cares about the interior. Most importantly, you picked the right exterior color!!
