Hood Flutter

Is this still an issue on the '10 (and presumably the '11) above 100mph?

Haven't noticed anything at top speed... but then again, I have only a V6... 113 or so mph...

Doesn't do it in my GT500 @ 140. GT500 has that better front bumper for this though, air never hits the leading edge of the hood.

Mine doesn't flutter - even in a crosswind.
Most 08's I read about adjusted the hood supports and it worked.
However, my front end gets pretty floaty at 120+.

Well you also have a heat extractor to vent the hot air from the radiator...

Need GT input!

In the 2010 there was a redesign of the grille which incorporated a new trim piece at the top of grille to stop flutter. Works on my 10 no flutter noticed.

hypothetically if my car has been to 120 a few times there would have been no hood flutter at all on the 2010, plus the new aero design has the front end much better planted, steering felt solid and responsive... if that ever happened

+1 exactly why the grill does not sit flush with the hood. The lower lip should eliminate it.

Good to know, probably won't have to get hood pins on the '11 for track use.

I have that problem (hood flutter) above 165, just do what I am going to do and get some hood pins.

I already have hood pins on my 06 and they work great from 100-158mph. Not really interested in putting them on a '11 if I can avoid it.

If there is no flutter under 150, almost all of us should be good then.
