HID Headlights Jiggling / Bouncing over Bumps?
Has anyone else noticed their HID headlight beams jiggling/bouncing over particularly bumpy roads? I am fairly certain this was an issue prior to my Steeda Ultralites/Koni STR.T installation on Labor Day weekend, but now it's more noticeable. In fact once we got to work yesterday morning at O-Dark:30, a coworker who'd been in front of me most of the way in stopped me in the parking lot to say my headlights looked strange to him!
He said it was almost like they were switching low- to high-beam at random and independently (he was low-to-the-ground - his car is a 1995-ish Honda Dull Soul). I called my dealer SA who was unaware of any universal issue and could only offer to set up an appointment for me to bring it in. (NNOOOOoooooo!)...
i tried researching this but could not find where anyone conclusively solved the problem except one hapless soul on AFM (w/a stock GT500/SVT Performance Pkg) who took it to the dealer, got Deysha/Customer svce involved, and the dealer & engineers ultimately blamed it on "spring mounts" used for the lights, and after a couple of weeks of being promised a fix was in the works he was told Ford decided not to take any further action. It is what it is.
So how about it? Anyone else have this issue? If so, please state what you've done to fix it and whether you have modded or stock regular or stock BBP suspension. Thanks!

Mine do slightly. Because the HID's are quite a bit more intense than a typical halogen they generally aren't rigidly mounted which can in some situations cause the leveling to become permanently changed possibly causing issues for oncoming drivers.
The HID's tend to "float" in the housing a bit to prevent this. Almost every car I've ever driven with HID's has had this to some extent.

You guys with the HIDs will see that because of the cutoff at the top of the beam of light that is not in place with a halogen beam. Since there is a definite cutoff with the HIDs, you see that cutoff move up and down as the car moves up and down.
I've never noticed such a problem with mine, i'll be paying more attention next time i go for a drive. Similar set up here, FRPP 1" drop, koni's STR.T's.
Eric, just bring the car in, they'll be carefull don't you worry. Never mind the horror stories you've heard before, NO they're not going to WOT it in the parking lot, neither will the "first day on the job" tech's big buckle belt scratch the paint or put his tools all over the engine bay or scratch the door sills and door speakers. Nah, that ain't gonna happen.
