He was cited for the cause of the accident? You're in the clear then, this is going to cost him plenty and if your insurance comapny is any good they will fight to make sure he covers the repair bill.
Sucks that it happened and glad you're okay. A good attorney might be in order because there is a legitimate claim for the pain and suffering caused if this does do critical damage to your furture career. All the money already shelled out and taken in loans can be recouped if you ened to change fields.

Glad all is well with you. As to insurance repairs, most will total of the repair costs more than 70 to 80% of the car's worth. Your damage looks to be much less than that. Only lousy thing is that now there will be a report against your car that will show up on carfax. If/when you go to trade it in or sell it, the buyer may request a carfax, then decide not to buy because it was in an accedent. It stinks for sure, as I too went through this when I traded in a truck a few years back on another truck. The dealer low balled me on a trade in value because of it.
As to insureance paying off on any upgrades you made, hopefully you called them and had them added to your insurance policy; otherwise they may not include them in your estimate check. Anytime you ad a sterio, body parts, or anything of value you want to be reimbursed for in an accedent, they usually have to be added into the policy. Hope the best for you.

Ouch! Well, at the very least you're okay(mostly). Get that wrist taken care of, and make sure you get your Mustang back exactly the way you want it! Car accidents suck, especially when you put forth the time, effort and money into making your vehicle nice.

Sorry to hear your hurt. Hope your wrist is not in too much pain. My dad has a 91 Camaro that had the same exact damage when it was 1 yr old. A van hit the back except drivers side. They fixed it and we still have it and it's part of the family. The bad part is the door never really aligned the same but it has still been a great addition to the stable.

Awwww, Chrissy, I'm very sorry to see this! For what it's worth, I've seen woise!
Sounds like you're well taken care of, so I hope everything works out in your favor! Best Wishes for your wrist healing (I guess I don't have to tell you to be sure and do all your PT? haha)
Looking forward to your car being good as new and back on the road!

Make sure a good shop does the work. Tri color red is tough to match. I was rear ended in my 99 and every body shop said it was a lot more work to match and they would need to blend and essentially re-paint the whole rear of the car to do it properly. The adjustor from the insurance company of the girl who hit me was a pain to work with. He only wanted to pay for painting the bumper and not the extra costs to blend. Long story but be persistent and make sure it's done right. Took me 3 weeks and about 8 appraisals till they finally gave in.
