Help Spending Christmas/Birthday Money

Just like the title says. Have a little money I want to put in the car. I really was only interested in getting the Ford Racing Lower Control Arms and Relocation Brackets. That is until I saw that they dropped the price some on the Ford Racing Shifter and Bracket. Now the price of that is not too much more than the Control Arms. Before I begin let me say that I understand there are other products from other companies out there. I however am kind of a OEM guy. I prefer my stuff from Ford for the most part. So I know that I could buy the Barton Shifter which is the exact same thing and save a few bucks. Or buy another brand control arms. I am not really interested. So here is my thought process and then I will take suggestions. With the control arms I am curious if I will see a noticeable difference in traction with the stock Track Pack tires? I know the Track Pack already has a stiffer bushing in the control arm than a GT. And eventually I will switch to a wider tire when I wear these out. But does anyone have experience with noticeable straight line traction in this scenario? If the answer is No then I am inclined to get the shifter because I know that will be a noticeable difference. Now let me explain my only reservations with the shifter. I am currently having no shifter issues. With a MT82 this is somewhat lucky. Secondly since I bought my car in 2013 there is a local car show I participate in. It is sponsored by a Mustang club and they always have a good turn out. They have a stock class and a modified class. The stock class basically means you will be judged on cleanliness of the vehicle. I have taken first place in this class each year. The rule is once you hit 3 modifications you are moved to the modified class. With the shifter I think some of the other participants may try and bump me to the modified category. However I think the control arms would likely go unnoticed. I am not the type of person that would get mad because I did not win a trophy. I am a pretty humble guy. But I do love looking at the trophies I have collected while I hang out in my garage. So if I can acquire a few more before I hit the modified class I would be excited. Kind of petty I know... But just laying my thought process out there. Thanks for your input guys! Sorry for the mile long post!

How would they even see the shifter? You're at stock ride height, correct? If so, just get the control arms, no need for the RLB. If you're lowered, get the RLB too. Does FRPP sell an upper CA?

The lower control arms that FRPP are just GT500 LCA's and wouldn't do much of anything for your car. I would go shifter more than anything else. NoOne is going to notice the shifter when you put the stock **** back on it.

Yes it is stock ride height. I thought the relocation brackets were to improve traction even on stock ride height? The reason you need the control arms is the brackets are not compatible with stock arms. If I do the shifter I will keep the white shift **** that comes with it over the stock piece. Can anyone better explain if I would need to replace the shifter boot? I read somewhere certain applications need it.

Nope, the brackets just correct the suspension geometry when you lower the car. The body mount is no longer parallel with the mount on the suspension. The brackets just correct that.

I am completely convinced that solid motor mounts would eliminate the shift issue. My only evidence would be that my car shifts smooth as butter when the tires are spinning. I know it's a bit off topic since you stated you don't have that issue.

Thanks for the suggestions. I got the shifter and installed it yesterday. Install was easy. Hardest part was the stupid shifter boot. PITA! It has been raining so I have not gotten to drive it yet. I actually don't even have the battery in it right now... But Spring is just around the corner!
