Help & Opinions Please

I ordered my 'stang on 3/24 and as of yesterday I was still in processing. Then last night I decided to add the electronics package so I called my salesman this morning who said fine, then when they went to put the change in they found out that last night my car was now scheduled to be built the week of May 17th( I have a VIN # now) and they weren't sure if the change will go through. I don't mind waiting a bit more for the car with the change. Can someone force the change??? If not it's not the biggest deal as I was on the fence about the cost anyway but then I figured what the hey!
Just your thoughts..
Thanks

I think you can change it until its locked, I don't that happens until closer to the build date. Someone else probably can tell you for sure.

Even if you had to cancel and order the correct one, I would be happier to wait, and have exactly what I wanted. You have to live with it for the long term.

It's my understanding that once a VIN is issued, the configuration is locked in.
