Happy With your 2011 Deal?
Go on Ford Vehicles and request an actual paper 2010 Mustang Brochure by snail mail and select 0-30 days for when you are looking to buy and you should receive a brochure in 10-14 days that has a Private Rebate of $750 in the back. Program #33142 . Get the 2010 because Im not sure if the 2011 has the $750 rebate coupon and the 2011 Brochures are running behind becaue of demand. Coupon should be good for 60 days from time its mailed. At least mine is. it says its good on 2010/2011 vehicles and it has been confirmed on the 2011 Mustang by my dealer using the Smart Vincent system.
Their are two different low interest programs.
Promotional 0.0-36 / 4.9-48 / 5.9-60 / 7.9-72 (Combinable with $500 Bonus Cash)
Special 0.0-36 / 3.9-48 / 4.9-60 / 6.9-72 (Not combinable with other offers)
I think one is Program #2038 and the other is #2040 (Not 100% on the Program Numbers)
The really interesting thing is they are both 0.0% for 36 months.
Again Smart Vincent confirmed.

We may pay personal property tax here in northern VA but we also only pay 3% for sales tax on cars. One way or another, the gummint is going to get your money. Tag fees are pretty low here compared with other states too.
EDIT: I planned on ordering my car. What happens if it arrives after the 60 days is up?

Rebate has been Smart Vincent confirmed on my 2011 Mustang using the Customer ID Code (On Rebate coupion) and the VIN of my Mustang.
Program Number is #3342. Call your dealer and give hime the program number and customer ID code on the coupon and have hime run it with your VIN. Then you will know if your Rebate Coupon will work. If not order a 2010 Mustang Brochure (2011 are running behind due to demand) under another name in your household or if you live alone your middle name (Ford only sends one Rebate Coupon to customer and its only transferable within the household). Chose 0-30 days for buying time. Evidently you got a coupon just before the change over. Mine is good from 4/20-6/19.
I paid $34,815.00 for a premium GT with Hid's, comfort pkg., auto, and 19" wheels. I already have paid $500.00 down, so I owe $34,315.00, minus my down payment of $15,000. Taxes here in Georgia will run me another $2400.00.

You guys are making me laugh so hard. Stop whining for nothing about taxes, you know that on EVERYTHING we buy over here and also the rest of Canada for that matter is 5% Federal tax, and then on top of it all, another 7.5 % . How's that for taxation. Can anyone beat that ?

I have to pay 9% in taxes on my Taco at Taco Bell. . . how much of an insult is THAT?!?!? That's like adding insult to gastrointestinal injury.

I think i got a good deal. They gave me 500 dollars more (Kelly's) for my trade-in, plus i got the X-Plan that saved me over 2,100 dollars.
I was more worried, hearing about some kind of 5,000 dollar or more dealer add on because of the 2011 Mustang being a high demand car, while i was ordering it. Like Chrysler did to the the Challenger SRT8's when they first hit the show rooms. My local Dodge dealer added 15,000 dollars to the window sticker for the first 6 or so months when they started selling them. Then started selling them at more realistic prices after the excitement wore off some.

Disclaimer: The following is my reasoning. I dont expect everyone to agree.
To me the real question is why I didnt leave the standard 3.31 I had on the order originally.
Gears:
1. 3.73 gets into the Soft Limiter at 109 mph and the hard limiter at 111.5 mph which means you are either going to be hard into the limiter in 4th or in the bottom of 5th anytime you exceed 110 mph trap speed.
2. I honestly believe the car will see 115 mph traps (117 mph at finish line) in really good air ie well below sea level in density altitude. That equates to 6990 rpm in 4th with 3.55. Ive seen nearly 108 mph with just CAI/Tune on a 2007.
3. With some minor bolt-ons the car might see 118 mph traps (120 mph finish). Thats 7170 rpm with 3.55 and 7533 rpnm with 3.73. Im not sure I wanted to twist it that high with 3.73.
4. With the 8.3% lower 1st gear 3.73 is like having 4.04 in the previous cars. In my experience anything over 3.73 on factory Pirellis didnt accomplish anything.
5. With 22% more torque its going to need less launch ratio if anything.
6. My old car spun with the 2.00 2nd when I had 4.10 Rears (2.00 x 4.10 = 8.2) on the street. With a 2.43 2nd even the standard 3.31 (2.43 x 3.31 = 8.04) its going to be a bear to hook on anything less than 3rd on the street with 22% more torque.
Brakes:
I decided the 2010 Track Pack Brakes (Standard 2011) were enough for me. I just couldnt justify the Shelby Brembos for my use. Besides I didnt want Summer Rubber for a daily driver (Cold Winter Weather) or 19" Wheels.
Again my reasoning. Im sure their are many who disagree.
