Gurney flap?

Is it permanent or does it move? Also any in depth details about it?

It's adjustable. This is from the press release for the SVT package:

A unique rear spoiler Gurney Flap was developed for increased rear downforce and improves handling balance in high-speed corners. Introduced by racing legend Dan Gurney nearly 40 years ago, the flap is essentially a tunable element on a low-drag spoiler. Front downforce has been increased 25 percent through improved cooling pack sealing and a new front underbody closeout panel.

It supposedly adjusts but I can't figure it out, neither could the dealer. I figure there is probably others ones that can be installed but I can't see how do do that either.

I believe the flaps are interchangeable. Although they're not for sale yet, I'd be FRPP will carry them later this year.

A Gurney flap, aka a 'wickerbill' is nothing more than a protruding tab perpendicular (or close enough) to the rest of a wing. It induces extra downforce at speed at the expense of drag. In this picture of an Indy Car's flap:

You'll see the gray slat sticking up. That's the Gurney flap. The adjustment part of this system is the flap slides through the side, and different heights are installed as needed.

I imagine a similar slide, or perhaps a clipping mechanism of some kind. But I don't think you'll be adjusting it's height on the car without changing it... unless it's to change it's tilt, aka NASCAR spoilers? Should be interesting.

On the 2010 it is not adjustible. I think some people are taking "tunable" out of context
