GT500 axle backs 'dripping' after idling

I noticed quite a bit of moisture under my car after I had changed the oil and was checking for leaks. Sure enough there is a slot for condensation to drip out as shown in this clip. Anyone else notice this? Wonder if GT or GT500 owners get this same behavior? I would imagine where you live would also factor in for air temps and humidity...

That's pretty cool. Usually the weep holes are directly under the tips.

Not sure if you bought the mufflers used or they came that way but be glad that someone took the time to show some consideration and love to your car. As you are aware, the holes prevent condensation from settling and deters internal rust.

It's normal. My GT500s do the same thing.

As with Roush, wouldn't want moisture sitting in there rusting from the inside out.

Thanks for the feedback. I had seen that the stock OEM Boss mufflers seemed to only 'drip from the tips', so wondered why the replacement GT500's were doing this. I was guessing this was a deliberate design feature from the Ford Racing engineers, of course you don't want your mufflers rusting away from the inside out.

These are much lighter than the OEM anchors, so the internal structure and materials will be unique. I'd be interested to see a cross section cut away view side by side, just like Ford did when the Boss and new GT500 came debuted and you got to see the insides of the new engines and other components.
