GT500 Axelbacks to something else?

Been tossing around the idea of maybe picking up some different axel backs.

Right now I have gt500 axel backs with jba H pipe and Cat delete.

Anyone make the switch from them to something else? Did you like it or switch back?

With a TVS I would go with a straight through none chambered design muffler.

Any particular reason you want to switch? I have the gt500s with resonators removed and I'm in love with set up!

Nothing to slow down the exhaust flow.

My first thought was, add Boss side pipes, but saw your setup already features changes to the H area. Not to say you couldn't do a custom side-pipe cutout to bolt up the Boss sides, but would probably be fairly $$$.

Probably my favorite non-GT500 axleback setup is the Corsa Sport. Looks awesome, sounds great, not too loud. And the Corsa Extreme's are an option if you want to up the volume. FromZto5 has the Extreme's on his supercharged 5.0 and has videos around here somewhere.

I agree with Lakeguy77, if you didn't already have the H-Pipe I would say the Boss side exhaust. This is the setup I have been running for a while and I love the sound. I want to change to the quad tips, but I think that's about it.

I thought a couple of times going to the Borla's quads, but don't think I need to spend that much cash when I am not gaining that much expect for the look of the rolled tips. I don't need it any louder really.

If you have not gotten any gt500 yet, I also have one for sale.

Russ... I didn't know you were you looking for a new exhaust. You know what I recommend right??? See lakeguy's quote below

Just wondering if your Mustang is a DD? That may help figure out how you'd want to go... If I didn't DD mine, I would want to make it as loud and aggressive as possible, like Burton's Corsa extreme setup.

That's the beautiful thing about the corsas. Their dynamic range is so wide that you can drive it as quiet as you want and avoid attention, or you can be manic and be a total wild man during WOT. Those two options are why I believe the corsas are the best exhaust out there. I'm not even talking about their weld quality and craftsmanship either. Those are also top notch.

I'm not saying that I don't believe you... but, if that's true, they would truly be the one and only on the market to have such a powerful lineup of products.

I wish there was someone in the GTA that had corsa's! I would love to hear them. I too would pay more up front for a descent set of axle backs that gave you the best of all three worlds ( not just both worlds)

I say three worlds because

1 - highway driving (no drone)
2 - nice aggressive exhaust notes at WOT
3 - choice of low key sound output at cruising speed.

The product that Patrick and I are involved in, is not as polished and refined as the Corsa's but again, this is still in R&D stages.

Joe, you are correct about everything. That's why I believe the corsas are the best. The three main criteria points that you stated above is where I believe that the corsas excel at. Keep in mind that I have had a pair of gt500s and borla s types before my corsas, so I can speak from experience

Now since you have a V-6 and I don't, I cannot speak to how the corsas (or any other brand for that matter) meet your 3 criteria.
