GT bumper swap?

How can you get the GT to look like a V6 up front?

I love the way the V6 MCA looks in the front.

I would -assume- the same way people switch to the GT/CS front.

the fascia is an easy swap all you need is an MCA/Pony package front fascia plus the MCA/GT-CS upper grill plus the Pony/MCA/GT-CS foglight assemblies.

However the foglight harness is going to be an issue and may need to make your own extension's as the GT foglight harness comes out in the center of the upper grill (unless you already have a CS in which that looks so similar why would you bother changing the fascia)

I can provide part #'s if your REALLY serious about this, on everything you would need minus the cusom made harness extenders

retail this would be EXPENSIVE

Who on Earth wants their GT to look like a lowly V6? Oh wait, I did that to my '07 GT - my bad!

The fog lights are a major reason I got the GT, besides the 5.0 of course.

They're pretty much useless, but they just look so **** cool.

the GT front end fogs in the grill looks so much more purposeful imo
a major styling cue that can't be mistaken for anything else

without the fogs in the grill the v6 and gt/cs remind me of Jay Leno's squinty eyes and huge chin

but, whatever floats your boat, it's all good if you like it

I hated the fogs at first back in 2004, but over time they grew on me, and I think they just look fantastic on the 2010/11. They do seem uselessly placed though. Really I just think of the Mustang as having four headlights, not headlights and fogs.

The Pony Package grill looks nice, w/ the spears.

Either the CS or the MCA grill is also good, w/ retaining the fog lamps down low.

The GT grill appearance is my least favorite.

I would think it would be kind of expensive to convert a GT front end a V6 MCA like in the picture. You would have to replace the whole front facia. You can get a billet grill from Roush or others that should be simple to swap in. If you still want fog lamps but you want them under the bumper, you can get the California Special airdam and a fog lamp kit.

Thanks, that seems like an easier option.

After my car arrives I'll leave it stock for a while and see if the fog lights grow on me in person.

Shaun,

If it's not too much trouble, I would greatly appreciate the part numbers and possibly the pricing (if discounted, I can return the favor on many after market brands...)

While I like the GT front, I had considered doing a 5.0L LX conversion on my Stang or just having the grille surround painted body color...
