Great deal......here kitty kitty!

Came across this article on new Roush supercharged cars going out the door at very decent prices. Getting into that level of HP for that money with warranty is a great deal imo.

*I realize this is the 10-14 section but I wanted to share this here where I lurk.

I saw this article also. Good gosh that is a tempting deal!

The Stage 1 units "only" throw down 670 hp (vs the Stage 2's 727), but they maintain the vehicle's 36mo/36000 mile warranty.

Not quite... they come with their own warranty, they don't maintain the Ford OEM warranty. That's similar to how FRP parts come with their own equivalent time/mileage warranty that is not a Ford Motor Company warranty. You'd have to go to a Ford/Roush dealer and your 60,000 mile powertrain warranty is gone. In the NE Florida area, only one of the five local dealers handles Roush. I don't know what it's like in other areas of the country.

I saw that dealership on Facebook advertising with pictures of the new owners and they seem to be moving a few out the door a week.

It even says they will ship anywhere, so very tempting, I wonder how long they will be doing this for. This makes me consider getting a s550, even though I love my 14.

I suspect they'll be doing this deal for as long as the demand exists. What they're doing is very clever. The more cars they move, the bigger their allocation is from Ford, and it doesn't only have to be just Mustangs they replenish their inventory with. The supercharged Mustangs are basically loss leaders. I'm sure they work more conventional deals on Fusions, F-150's, etc. You know the old saying: "How do we do it? Volume, volume, volume"

Somewhat related....

Years ago when the Viper first came out an allocation of just one was made to the dealers who had the highest volume of Dodge sales. One of the largest in the country at the time was Warnock Dodge in East Hanover NJ, not far from where I live. He received one of the first Vipers, and a very low production number at that. The MSRP on a Viper was around $50K, and Don Warnock was offered more that $50K over sticker for his. He refused all offers and instead put the car on a rotating turntable and surrounded it with all red Dodge cars on the floor. He sold a ton of cars that year.

A couple of years later I was behind a red Viper heading down to the Jersey shore. The plates read WARNOK1. He kept the Viper.

I will have my 14 paid off by the end of the year, and I would seriously consider financing another Mustang if this deal is still going on beginning of next year. The only option I would want on top of this is the Performance Package. Have them ship it, or I might even consider making a trip to Ohio for a deal like this.

Wasn't implying that you were Gary....but maybe us folks on the right ought to employ their tactics.

However, Camaro fans seem to be Hillary supporters which makes Tony suspect in my book. He is from Massatush!ts after all.

It's a good deal but you will have to pay more to make it hook.

That much power with stock suspension and brakes is dumb, IMO. Buy a GT-350 and you'll have a far, far better car.

I have a 2015 Charger Scat Pack and this came up on a discussion over on their forums. Many people thought it was a great idea, but I cast doubt. In stock form, a base GT has wheel hop issues with 420hp. When you add that much more hp, you can destroy the car. You definitely need better than the base brakes to stop the car!! Also, to make 700+ hp, isn't there going to be a lot of heat? Where is the heat management? Anybody can install a $7k supercharger on a showroom stock car. It's not wise to do so without upgrading the brakes, suspension and other components to support it.

Doesn't the Roush kit come with a heat exchanger? And one could always opt for a brembo brake package car for a few thousand more. And before I lowered my '13, I remember it had crazy wheel hop. I can only imagine what it's like in a S550

Making Hillary president makes good fiscal sense... as the first woman president we could pay her less.

Though I'm not so sure about letting Bill run around the White House with nothing to do.
