grade assist and tuning

I have a question about the grade assist on the AT, specifically on the 11 Mustang. (not to confuse this with the hill assist in the MT).

From my understanding, this is similar to the 12 and later sport mode. It appears from playing around with it that it's basically shutting off/limiting the OD (limiting upshifts) and that it will put the car into a lower gear at lower RPM's.

For those that understand how tuning works for this car, will other aspects of the tune work the same as they do now? For example, at WOT, the grade assist should really not impact any of the tune parameters correct? But where it will help is if at WOT, and I lift the throttle slightly, it won't be immediately trying to upshift on me right?

Basically what I am trying to understand is that under aggressive driving, the car will still drive safely under the parameters of the tune, other than the annoying quick upshifts happening too quickly when slightly lifting throttle.
