Got dam #8 got me

Did an oil change last Friday and noticed oil coming out the bov. Slowly taking it apart now, hopefully no cylinder damage.

Lol, I will have more info when I get the head off. Basically I was doing an oil change and noticed oil had sprayed out of the blow off valve. Can't tell by driving it, but the #8 compression is about 65% of the other 7. More info to come...

LOL Mike... have to agree with you on that. The subject title was catchy though. Made me at least "hover" my cursor so I could read, but then I clicked on it anyways. Got Dam.

This thread does NOT deliver I keep getting "trapped" hovering over it too, like there is about to be an astounding revelation or something.

I'd think it was the blower causing the oil as opposed to the motor.

I'm assuming you have a Paxton/Vortech set up though.

Compression being passed back into the crankcase causes it to blow oil through the pcv back into the intake, it likely just pooled up there and when I got into boost which I don't do all the time it blew all the blow by out of the blow off valve.

Yes I have a vortech

I'm not blaming the tune, it's been the same for the 27k miles I've had the vortech on.
Most likely attributed to the leaky coolant reservoir that comes with the vortech kit. Thought I had it fixed, but it was still leaking and probably got low or air into the cooling passage in the head.

^ Got DAM. That's the best info posted on this thread thus far.

Got DAM!!!! I think I'm getting that for a license plate. Kindda like a redneck version of the slogan "Got Milk?"

"Got Dam?"
