gears for the verts
any rumors on plans to offer the 3.55 or 3.73 in the verts for job 2 or 2011. From my own experience and others opinions different gearing is for more than just racing, it changes the feel and the character of the car a bit to tailor it to different tastes

All is not lost however...
With the gearing in the trans it would already feel like it had 3.58 in 1st and 4.02 in 2nd compared to your car. With all the extra torque I see the slightly taller overall 1st than you currently have as a non-issue.
Do you like how your car feels in 4th with 3.73? Imagine it with 20% more torque + 4.37 Gears which is what 4th will be like with 3.31.
Lots of the improvement in the older cars with bigger gears was the ability to pull the big gaps between gears. With the new trans the gears are so much narrower this is really a non-issue.
If you find anything you dont like I think it will be the tallness of 6th with the 3.31. I guess thats what 5th is for.

I have a GT/CS vert. In my opinion, the way the tranny is geared it doesnt need more
rear gear. First gear runs out in a hurry. With 3.70s first would be tractionless without
better tires. 1,2,3rd gear goes by very quickly. I am sure lower gears would be quicker
overall but I dought by much unless you can maximise traction in first. I would like to see
some results but I bet the average Joe on the street wont get more then .1 extra to 60
on the street with lower gears. Let the debate begin!!
