At the garage, skip shift question.

Hey quickly, is this the skip shift plug? I can simply unplug this and skipshift will be eliminated?

Many thanks

Nope, doesn't look like the right one.

The skip-shift solenoid is on the right side up near the top at the back of the transmission and the harness plugs directly onto it.

Under the right conditions it will force the driver from 1st to 4th (6 spd Manual). Most of the time it will just flash a message on the display saying shift 1 - 4 for fuel economy.

It's only forced me into 4th a handful of times.

At slow speed acceleration, there is a solenoid that forces you to shift from 1st to 4th...no option. The rpm is normally 1800-2000 and real slow accel. Very seldom hits but when it does, it makes you think you forgot how to shift.

Right side (passenger) upper rear corner is correct location. I unplugged mine and tapped the plugs to keep things clean. Then zip tied the pigtail to another harness.

Find the tranny fill bolt. The skip shift plug is 2-3" directly above it. Depress the end of the clip to remove.
