Gap in grill on 2012?

The top of the black surround for the grill is not flush to the lip of the hood. Is the grill not supported right, or is this how it should be? In pictures, it just seems that the grill surround and the hood lip are tighter.

Car is shrinking due to the cold...

Really, I would think it looks normal based on the angle of the pic. Just check another on a lot somewhere for comparison.

Thermal growth/shrinkage

Plastic sucks in either end of the spectrum.

This gap was there in the summer too, I just never got around to asking on here. I have looked at other cars. Some have a gap worse than mine, and others with no gap at all.

When I was shopping for my Mustang I think I read about this in one of the many reviews I read on-line...

I'm pretty sure that's normal and not even visible unless you're squatting down like that.

The grille looks fine. There's always going to be a bit of play in that part for fitting purposes.

I'm not so sure. Others have noticable gaps like this?

The Saleen grille is a nightmare to fit. You have to use plastic push pins and drill the bumper.

How is the lower portion of your grille held on?

I have to look. When I have a moment, I wanted to take it by the dealer, but I have a strong suspicion that they will say there is noting wrong. Likely I will have to come up with my own solution, but maybe someone on here has done this already?

Really? Saleen grill fit great with no gaps or drilling on mine. My stock grill did have a gap similar to that though. It did bother me at times, but not enough to go crazy over.
