Personally, I don't think it looks anything like a 350Z but to each his own I suppose.

That looks terrible. Who made that concept, Ford or someone else?

I hope what they build dosen't look like that, I like that first photoshop in this thread, thats very nice. This new concept looks very foreign, like somthing you'd expect from toyota or almost BMWish(to me thats not positive anti-Chris Bangle), it dosen't quite register as a mustang.

That "concept" makes me want to throw up. Please tell me that's not the way they plan to go with the Mustang.

It may not look exactly identical in comparison to the Mustang concept but ? IMO, I'd say that it's pretty close..

Nope, don't see it except that it has rear quarter window louvers like the Mustang concept.

It's just a styling exercise. Some elements (such as the "hips") some appear in the next Mustang but it won't look exactly the same.

I can see how you think it looks like a 350Z. I used to really like that 350Z, but this concept looks far better than that 350Z!

Agreed - but I think the concept looks MUCH better than the 350Z - it's design flows better and has it's own look based on classic Mustang lines whereas the 350Z looks more like a Porsche wannabe to me......

AND...not to get too far off topic - I did want to comment on all the interior comments I read above....without taking sides I do have to agree that some of the base interior pieces of this new Mustang could have been executed better.
The door panels, window switch bezels, center console top, dash lid and rear interior trim quarter panels (on both my '05 coupe and '07 GT/CS vert) could have been better executed by Ford....because I did order all the options on both the '05 & '07 and the pieces above don't change - they still look amazingly cheap. My 2000 GT vert door panel materials were better than the rock hard '05+ plastic panels. JMO, but my '07 GT/CS vert retailed at $37K and I would have expected a bit more refined interior at that price level. Ford has made good progress in some of their cars/trucks, my '05 F-150 Lariat $38K has a nice looking interior - lots of plastic - but better execution - just looks more balanced.....whereas the Mustang has leather seats, steering wheel, center console lid, pedal covers (PTP items I added after purchase), door panel inserts and yet when you look at those cheap plastic interior pieces - it cheapens the entire cabin......looks very much like a base interior with added options....not a well balanced $37K interior.

JMO - from a seven time Mustang owner (71 302 V8 Grande Coupe, 73 351C Grande Coupe, 73 351C vert, 95 V6 vert, 2000 GT vert, 05 GT Coupe, 07 GT/CS vert)

To me, it looks like a cross between a 350Z and Corvette.

To me, it looks like a Mustang with some Italian styling elements.

To me, it looks like a styling exercise that will never see the light of day, past this concept.

True, but I bet we see some of the styling elements in the next redesign.

Like the hips, no doubt.

Everything moving from the wheels in towards the middle looks fine, but the front (too "Bangle-ized") and the back (too bastardized) are way off the mark, IMHO.

Yeah, I don't like the back and I have no doubt we won't see that on a production Mustang. I'm on the fence in regards to the front. I don't hate it but I don't love it either.
