I use BP, i can see the station from my front yard. I like EXxon too. No Chevrons near me but i've heard its good gas but cost a little more.

I have to add this: My car salesman filled my Mustang with a no name 'Food City' gasoline. You don't have to use BP gas.

My dealer fills up all the cars at a Texaco station even though there's an Exxon/Mobil literally right across their parking lot.

BP; I can take it or leave it. I was a Sunoco fan until I tried Shell V-Power. Now I'll use either.

I always just try to go to the busiest station in town. I've alwasy heard to go where the gas sits the least amount of time in a tank in the ground.

With BP's recent PR hit, will you use BP fuel in your 2011 Mustang?

Do you think Ford's recommendation will have an affect on them in any way?
BP believe it or not is sold through ARCO....well at least it is here in S.Cali.

Many States are now mandating 10% eth in all brands - thanx to the corn lobby.

Gas is gas, but additive packages and use of E10 or not is a HUGE deal. Chevron is the best. Techron is the real deal.

BP Isnt always Ethanol Free. We do not have a Ethanol Mandate in our state but BP here is 10% Ethanol. The only 100% Gasoline we can get is Phillips 66.
If P66 is good enough to be the Motorcraft Oil Supplier then it should be good enough for fuel.

If you are pinging on anyones 93 (and it is 93) its your tune not the fuel. If a simple change in detergent package is enough to trip you over the edge you are to close.
My 2007 never pinged but then my AFR was right and my timing was 29 Degrees. What can I say... Im a whimp.

Exxon Mobil 93 = lots of pinging unless I'm extremely gentle

Now I don't even go to other gas stations.. I only go to Chevron.
make sure your getting 93. in WA 93 is hard to come by. are top grade would only be 92

Pinging is bad. Maybe load a '91 tune and keep running '93, or use an octane booster ?

i was just about to bring that up. i tried arco once and noticed a big drop in fuel mileage. i only use costco gas because it's given me the best gas mileage plus its generally 20-30 cents cheaper a gallon compared to the cheapest of stations.

if i don't go to costco, i'll only go chevron.

Same here in OR. It was 91 until the 10% eth mandate. I think that's what bumped it to 92 because ethanol does have a higher octane.
