I was on the Ford Racing site the other day and noticed they have a "coming soon" track key for the '14 GT. Unfortunately, it says it will only work on cars built AFTER 7/7/13 (mine was built a month or so before).

Anyone know anything more about this product? I imagine there was some change to the car's ECU on that date that allows it to store two tunes.

A track key for the GT would be awesome.

 

There is another thread on this subject, suggest searching. Also discussed over on BMO. Question about what cars it will actually be applicable to. I would consider it

 

All 14 gts with sticks will get it and the ladder half of the 13s will as well it was a typo

 

Starting what build date this would apply ?

I have a 13 built October 2012.

 

Good to know it will be available for all '14s, and I'll search for the other discussion (didn't see it in the first few pages of the GT Mod forum when I looked- maybe I missed it).

Mine is 10/12 (october 2012) maybe I'll be lucky...

 

Only build dates after July 1, 2013 per the lead tech I spoke with at Ford Racing Parts.
The 2014 GT had significant changes in the electronics after that date. The Track Key will only work on those updated cars.
I also confirmed there is not horsepower change and the ProCal tune I installed will be overwritten and lost. They should rethink that one but probably to late to do so.
