I went in on a Friday to select a car and was driving it off the lot on the following monday.

 

I don't think I can pick it up today as I need the wife to sign the paperwork and she is at work until 8:30

I did get to see it and touch it though, it was still being prepped in the service bay. Red interior is BEAUTIFUL. 5.8 miles on her.

CS: Oh well they are all shipping by the end of June
Me: Cant you recalculate and tell me when
CS: Sorry no this is all the info we have but your dealer will have more info
Me: No they dont.

 

Your dealer will actually have more info. Ask for your vehicle visibility!

 

They are over 20, 2011 Mustangs on local dealers lots with-in 25 miles from where i live.

 

I'm just freaking impatient. I'm freaking out because I don't have a build date and I ordered 6/2. I need to calm down and start freaking out like mid July I guess.

 

Does anyone know if they will do retail order verification for job 2?

 

Ok, just got a call from my dealer. They told me last Monday that the holdup was due to needed clutch adjustments on manual models.

The call I just got was to tell me that they received two manual models that were ordered for their dealer inventory. My dealer now has six stock 2011s sitting on their lot and they claim mine still has a 7/15 ETA! This has got to be the biggest bunch of bull**** I've ever seen!

 

I doubt it, it seems like they only wanted to do that so they could get more cars on the road faster and not have to worry about getting them to the dealerships as well.

 

Well they didn't succeed, many of those are the ones sitting at AAI. It's a lot of latecomers that are out there driving their cars

At least you guys are in the position to complain I suppose. I have to wait, regardless of what's going on at Ford. Driving my crappy Accord...

My salesman told me he has several people that ordered in Feb and March still waiting on their cars. He confirmed the engine tick and cold start issues that have been discussed elsewhere where the reason for the hold.
