First winshield rock chip &%*/"&?%$!)*
I should've known going down that stretch of construction highway they're repaving to keep a more than safe distance between the other cars, but this smart arce ricer came cutting me off from the far right lane right in front of me in the middle lane going 60, obviously he had some debris flying all over and i was the lucky one getting one of the little rock in my windshield right in front of my driving eyesight. Wondering if it is fixable at a glass shop. It is the size of a needle's head, i cleaned it with glass cleaner but it still shows white in the middle. I have done it in the past, but for much bigger ones. They used this machine which extracts air from the chip to a point where it almost doesn't show anymore. What a bummer. I could've kill the little Bass.......tards.
Here is a pic.

I feel your pain. My windshield looks like it has a bad case of acne, after 3000 miles. Thanks to 4X4 trucks with huge tires and of course the ever present semi's.
Your chip is repairable, since it does not have the spider web cracks. Get it fixed before winter or the cold could cause it to crack and require replacing the windshield. I have had one larger then that fixed on my wife's Jeep. They do a good job and my insurance paid for it. Hope this helps.

I can relate. 2 days ago with only 200 miles on 4 day old car when a rock chips my windshield too. I think I will just park it in garage and not drive it so it doesn't get hurt outside while playing.

Daniel:
a autoglass place can fix that up...
i know out here in b.c. they used to give us like 5 free rockchip repairs a year (was cheaper then having to wait for spider crack to spread and replace whole windshield),but think thats now gone...maybe quebec has something like that?

Just checked out a place around here which specializes in auto glass. I think even though it is a small chip that they should be able to put some resin in it and suck up any air left and cure it under UV light.
Will check this out tomorrow. Still sucks anyways.

Just get a piece of sheet metal cut the same size as the windshield and put it over it and then you can drive it without worrying about rock chips.

Also, I have come to the conclusion that OEM Ford windshields SUCK!!!
Every Ford truck I've ever had got so many chips in them it was amazing but as soon as I got a aftermarket windshield install I hardly ever got a chip.
On my '96 F350 crewcab dually, about two weeks after I got it I was pulling out of a steep driveway into the street and when the truck started to twist a little going onto the flat street the windshield cracked. The dealer had a glass company put a new windshield in and I never had any cracking problem with it again.

I had the same chip, but on my second drive in the car with only 20 miles on it! I had it repaired by the mobile glass guy and although you can still see where it was, it's not too obvious. Good luck with your repair.

Just came back from the auto glass shop, unfortunetaly there is nothing they can do about it. The needle size chip is not deep enough to put resin in, so therefore cannot be fixed. So i guess it's either live with it or shell out $500 to have it changed. Guess i'll try to get use to it even though it 's right in my face to remind me.

****ty! Could be worse. A friend picked up a 2011 Speed3 and within 10 miles of delivery he got nailed by something that spidered up his whole windshield. Needless to say, he's getting OEM glass, which isn't cheap.

Oh yeah, me too less than 500 miles and chippy!! I wish they made something like my 3M Clear bra for the windshields like in racing a nice tear off system to protect your glass...
