What a shame Ford didn't put a better shifter/clutch set up in these, your not the first person to have trouble with the clutch.
I'll sell mine before i start taking apart a new car.

Nice shifting op imo sg is the best color for making the 2013 mustangs look high class it just really makes the cars appear expensive to me. And just curious but have you got your a/c running while on the track?????? If so they kick you out for that at every track I've ever run at.

My track wont kick you out for AC, they just nicely ask that you please dont use it.

Sucks that your having tranny, shifter trouble. What times did you run.

Love the way you did the filming from different views.

Condensation drains from a/c system to the ground, water equals unexpected loss of traction.

^yea what he said they look inside your car before every run and when lining up to run and again where you grab your slips. Every time making sure your ac is off. But basically yes it's because you don't want condensation to leak onto the tires while running on the track.

ill try to work with my ford dealer on this in hope maybe they can do the labor ill buy the upgraded parts, I'm sure BOSS owners down have this problem because their pressure plate and clutch is a stronger set up. Plus i think the weak pressure plate is what probably causes the sinking clutch pedal

i never heard of that, but i see your point, and i forgot to turn off AC couple times, it as just to darn hot!!!! maybe with AC off i would have gotten 13.1 or even 12.9 if everything went smooth.

thank you, 13.3 couple times. I tested tranny the other day at home and it snaps from 1st to 2nd just fine, but after 3-4 times i felt it was starting to grind into 2nd.

Just a heads up but replacing the clutch parts with Boss specific parts won't neccesarily help your problem as Boss's have the same issues as well. From what I understand, there's hasn't been a 100% fix yet but some have used GT500 parts, along with aftermarket shifter, bushings, etc., and have had "better" luck. And I love the Sterling Gray!

i thought a boss pressure plate was stiffer and better clutch wheel??

in this case would it be better to do an aftermarket clutch and pressure plate all together?

I know it is different than the GT's dont know how much better. My 12 Boss pedal stuck a couple times and have read same problems with those cars.

Honestly I wouldn't even bother at those temps. You won't get good runs. But I guess some people are more dedicated than i am.

I'm sure a good aftermarket clutch set up would be better than most stock units. I'm coming from a Raptor to a '13 Boss 302, so I'm still learning and researching things myself.

good ol' Sac Raceway, prep has been kinda weak lately and at those temps, it's an ice rink!

July 21st Grudge Night will be packed. Local Ford site is having it's annual cet together prior to the gates opening and there will be quite a few fast street cars as they have a call-out list going.
