First time on the Dyno ... Torque Help Needed ...

Last Friday I took my car up to Dallas ~ HPP Racing and had them do a tune and we did 3 pulls on the Dyno.

Truthfully, I'm not really sure whats good / bad when it comes to the number, but I do know my torque was really low ... 335.0.

Now I know I have no back pressure ... the only mods that have been done on the car are

Airaid CAI
Gear Swap / 3.73's
Muffler / Cat delete (hints the lack of back pressure I guess?!)

What I'm trying to figure out is where to go from here without spending an a*s load. I'm not trying to have the fastest car on the street, but 335 .. meh, even I know thats a little low! lol .. Oh yeah, mine is a 2013 Auto 5.0

I did get a fun picture out of the trip to HPP tho!!!

Mustang dyno or dyno jet? Was it run in 4th gear? What was your hp #? Ever do a base run ?

We couldn't do a base run because I had a bama tune on prior to arriving at HPP, and we put a cold air intake on while we were there, I had no Bama tune for the CAI ... so a base run was impossible. :/

Mustang Dyno / Dyno Jet ... I'm not really sure?!? This was the first time I've ever gone / done anything like that before. I wish I could be more helpful but I'm just not sure. Everyone down here that talks about HPP has never said 'dyno jet' .. but, there again .. I dunno.

Here is the final pull with the best numbers ...

Per their website, dynojet dyno. Based on that and the fact you are an auto not manual, I think torque looks about right. Mine made about 350 wtq on a dynojet but only 376 hp compared with your 400 whp.

Manny, the guy that does the dyno pulls up there didnt say anything about it being too low, but when I got back home and was telling some of the ppl about the numbers, they all asked me why it was so low. All I was lookin for was a 400 pull on the dyno, so I was good with 400.3 ~ lol.

Bah, I went over to their website and looked to see if I could find out the answer to the mustang dyno / dynojet dyno but maybe I didnt look hard enough, because I didnt see it!!

Granted, being catless & mufferless, my car is extremely too loud right now, so I'm gonna have to do to something ... I'm just not sure which is the best way to go if I'm needing a little torque while I'm at it, ya know?! AT first my friends were thinking just an o/r x-pipe, but then they said they would actually open it up more and there would be less torque ... Errr, I get so confused. :/

Maybe there was something wrong with the dyno as with 400 rwhp you should have about 380 rwtq. I can not read the dyno what was your afr and timing set at. You paid money you need to ask the tuner questions.

Put your mufflers back on and use a KOOKs X pipe and you'll be fine. KOOKs are expensive, but you get what you pay for.
(Not always true, but for most of the time.)
