Finally, got my VIN but the hard way...

After serveral emails checking the status of my Feb2 order (2011 GB Gt/Cs) I decided to just drive to the dealership. Out of nowhere, they do have a VIN for me. They told me I have a retail order with a ETA of 4/28/10. Verbally, I was told I have a priority of 12. On the paper I have, it reads a bunch of confusing stuff, the status reads scheduled to week of 4/12 and vechicle location Autoalliance International Inc, MI.

VIN 1ZVBP8CF9B5108798

This is my first pre-order, really excited,

Here's a link for your VIN. It should be available about a week before your car in manufactured.

Sweeeet. The wait is killing me, especially with these wonderful reviews pouring in.

Does Ford not offer 6disc CD Changers anymore? I took it for granted when pre-ordering but after going to that 2011 build link, it seems single-disc is the only option.

They canned the 6-changer. I was disappointed for about 30 seconds the first time I saw that. Then I realized that I probably wouldn't use CDs anymore anyway. Which is probably also one of the reasons why they got rid of it.

I'm ok with there not being a 6-disk changer as long as I can use a flash drive loaded with mp3's...

Thats sucks, I only have like 50songs from itunes but waaaaay more CDs in my car. Just the other day, I was flipping through my 6disc changer on my current Stang, wishing it was an 8or12changer.

They have a USB port in the center console. Just put all your songs on a thumb drive and you're good to go!

You're welcome. I was wondering when Ford would do something like that. My 6 CD changer acts up once in a while. Having a USB is better!

I got the premium, I think you may have to when ordering the CS package. I just remembered something crazy, when I was shopping for my V6 in 05, there was a loaded GT convertible on the showroom floor for 35g, now my GT/CS is almost 37g, wow!

I'm still kicking myself for not buying Ford stocks at $1.80 but I really needed the money last year when I was shopping for my first home while paying off my debt. Now I finally took the plunge but you have to have had the stock for six months in order to qualify?

Well, that's one way to qualify, but the company I work with has worked out a deal with Ford for it's employees. Maybe the Company works with has the same thing?

Unless you're self employed?

Man, ditch those CD's and get an IPOD. I have more than 11k (Eleven Thousand) songs recorded at 320 bit rate.
