I finally got my rear drag wheels put on since I have a grudge race against a terminator coming up. The stock AM 20s with 295s weighed in at 66lbs and my SVE 15s with 275s MT weighed in at 50lbs. Overall a 32lb savings.
did you happen to measure the true back spacing on that SVE drag wheel? LMR shows BS at 7.12" but mine is 6.5". I have not mounted the tires yet because I would like to confirm the dimensions first.

Blown... PLEASE let me know how you like the MT ET Street Drag Radials. This is the tire I want to get to replace my Nitto NT555Rs.
How's the GRIP? (I don't care about turning because I don't road course or track). How's the tread life??? (I also don't care about wet performance because I never drive in the rain)

The 555R will be hard to replace. The MT ET's are truly drag tires. The side walls are thin compared to the Nittos and they heat up and soften a lot more than the nittos. I would check into maybe the R888 instead for just fun driving. I really enjoyed my 555R's on my cobra. They hooked very well and cornered beautifully.

Al... thanks for the input. Believe it or not, your positive comment above about the 555Rs are the first I heard in a long time. I heard some positives when I bought them, but since then, most folks have thrown mud in its face. I tend to agree, now that I've driven them for a few thousand miles. They spin WAY too easily. I don't know if it's my power levels or what - my suspension is Koni and Steeda so I'd think it's not that.
I think the softness of the MT's is exactly what I need - it will wear quicker, but that's ok. I want something to HOOK.

I will find out Friday how well they hook, but I can tell you the rear floats around at 80mph with them on.

"Floats" doesn't sound like a good thing. Meaning, you're losing traction because of it lifting??? That can't be good
I'm thinking floats means that the sidewalls heat up while drive long distances and get really soft. You lose side to side stability since the sidewalls are made to get soft and flex for launching. Best of both worlds is just not best for either one.

Sorry, I was meaning swaying as alscobra mentioned, its from the soft sidewall. Almost gives the feeling you have a flat rear tire, but not as sever and it gets worse depending on the road crown.

hmmm interesting. Well, if it's any consolation, the Nittos (in my humble opinion) are too HARD. Too hard so they not as grippy. Come to think of it, maybe I have too much air in it. lol. Eh... I just am sick of them. Soft sidewalls mean they squat more right? So more grip in straight line? The cornering, though important, I'm not as concerned with... because I don't track or autocross or road race. So for me, grip in the city is really all I'm after.
Well, his terminator is pushing 20lbs of boost and he's at 800rwhp. I'm at 600, but the track prep here is garbage so I hope he lites them up giving me a chance. Plus its an 1/8th mile so he wont have the chance to reel me in.
If he hooks, well...... ill be looking at tail lights.

Ive not heard a lot of good things about the nittos with higher hp cars. If your not going 80- 100 mph for a long period, you won't notice the sway.
I did test them out on the road and after 2 little wot spins in 2nd, they hooked on the 3.
