Sorry guys, couldn't help it. But what a neat gadget. I can only see the guy's face using this in his Toyota Prius when the electric motor is running....

The video was interesting but the title of this post lead to great disappointment, I was very ready to hear the 5.0....

it's lacking a lot of that pounding muscle car noise

Hmm well it's...interesting. Which I believe, is exactly what I said with the GT350 video.

It actually REALLY sounds like the car in Bullitt. Moreso than the 08-09 Bullitt exhaust. I don't know what to think. I didn't really like the refined sound of the 05+ when they first came out. The SN95s had that unrefined muscle car sound, just refined enough over the old 5.0. An 03-04 Cobra drives by my house everyday, with I believe Stingers on it. I LOVE that sound. The 3v has a distinct sound, with mid mufflers, can sound pretty close to the SN95s.

But this new engine. I just don't know. I think it will grow on me. The 05+ 3v grew on me, especially the 2010 which I have driven. Sounds great for an OEM exhaust.

This, while having a nice unrefined growl, just doesn't sound like a new Mustang should IMO. This car sounds like it has SLP LM1s stock. Hopefully Bassani will make me proud. I always love their exhaust sound on Mustangs.

I will say though, that motor sounds VERY healthy. It sounds like it is breathing great. Funny I watched it twice and was like "meh", posted my comment, then watched it again on my phone and held it up to my ear and I think I just fell in love with it. Haha. I said it would grow on me, but I didn't think it would be that quick. I guess I'm just not used to hearing a GT running that hard.

I really want to hear how it idles, and how it sounds from 1000-3500 RPM though, as most daily driving will be done in that range. That's what I love about the Mod motors. They sound so bad *** in that range, like they're just waiting to be unleashed.

Edit: I love the "YES" sign at the end haha!!

I still say it would be cool if they tuned some of the old "throaty" 5.0 sound into the exhaust.

its a good stock sound, I can't wait for people to throw O/R H's and loud mufflers.

Since the other guy posted a real 5.0 exhaust clip, my arteries are safe and I'm satisfied.

I doubt it will sound like that in finished form. Almost doesn't sound right for the camera views, like the engine sound was dubbed on top of the video.

Personally, I hope the engine sound is fairly quiet when just cruising. A mean sounding motor is great when your digging into the throttle, but can quickly get very annoying if it sounds that way ALL the time. I also hope, if it has an exhaust drone at some RPM range, it's not at a typical cruising speed; my 99 Cobra had an exhaust drone that would annoy me from time to time.

We were too busy with our shoot to go for a ride, but here are a few shots of it on the track, with pretty good audio so you can hear the 5.0 “Coyote” engine scream. And if you think I’m crazy for passing up a ride in this car, wait till you see what I was driving instead.

Chris, your link doesn't work anymore. Does Ford has something to do with this ?
