FINALLY!! 2011 gt500 IS ENROUTE!

After being held for almost four weeks at Flat Rock AAI plant, my dealer called to tell me my car is released and being shipped. There is some confusion as to whether its coming by transporter truck or rail-car, but by ****, its coming!!Should be in my hands in about ten days or less, depending on the mode of travel. Am almost scared to get too excited! Will try to post up some photos when it arrives. Performance white coupe with grabber blue stripes and no SVTPP.

Excellent news! I hope it's everything you want it to be. I remember how I was when mine shipped out. Checking the status every day.

Great news Reptile !! Congrats.

I am now thinking of switching my Grabber Blue order, I spotted a RaceRed GT500 that is coming next week at another dealer in another province... hummm... decision... I ordered mt Grabber Blue from a small dealer... and I now wonder if they going to get it anytime soon...

No way Rick. Would you ? You talked to the owner of Chartrand Ford for saying that.

No, these words were from Ford customer service (svt). They cannot garrantee when my car is coming because Chartrand is a lower volume Shelby dealer.

Formula Ford in Granby already got 2011 Shelbys.

I am pissed... My car is built since April 7th.

That doesn't make sense! Ford isn't going to keep the car sitting around on the AAI lot just because your dealer is a low volume Shelby dealer. If allocations were the problem, your car would not have been built. Something else is keeping your car at AAI- likely the same thing that is keeping a lot of other early cars at AAI.

Agree with you... maybe the guy at SVT just gave me a load of BS.

The guy also told me something about the GT500 car been lower than regular GT and then they can only fit 5 instead of 8 on the transport (rail or truck, dunno) .

And that driver was horrible. He definitely needs some more seat time in that car. I'd bet he could knock off a 2:55 at least...

All tires and maybe the tuning of the suspension. The 10HP and 100 lbs isn't really that big a deal. I'd like to see a "regular" 2011 do the same so we can determine that.

That drivers seat isn't stock! I'm not sure what to make of this video. I'd have to see a 2010 and 2011 go back to back. I'm sure the 2011 is faster just not hat much faster.
