All of the other mods seem logical that they would slap the pan, cooler, rad and what not on after the fact.
^Yup, and if the Boss mani and factory tune are not used, what would be gained? Seems like that would be the only way you would get the higher RPM gains with said Boss'ified track pack.

The engines are not built at the Flat Rock plant.

Here it is...
Gave the last 8 digits of my VIN to the parts dude and this is what i found:

My 13 TP GT:
Connecting Rods P/N: BR-3Z-6200A
Crankshaft P/N: BR-3Z-6303C

A 13 Boss 302:
Connecting Rods P/N: CR-3Z-6200A
Crankshaft P/N: CR-3Z-6303A

Myth busted. Sorry fellow Track Pack brethren's, it is what it is.

To further throw a wrench into things here... here is some better clarification of the part numbers you have listed, along with actual Ford P/N spacing

Con Rods : BR3Z-6200-A vs. CR3Z-6200-A
The only difference between these part numbers is the prefix, which just identifies the model year they were released for.
B = 2011
C = 2012
The rest of the part numbers being identical, leads me to believe they are actually the same part, even the same "A" suffix. Although this may not necessarily be the case. A regular 5.0 engine assembly could call for the BR3Z part, while the Boss engine assembly could call for the CR3Z part.

Crankshafts: BR3Z-6303-C vs. CR3Z-6303-A
These part numbers have both different model year and suffix differences. This lends me to believe they are in fact different parts completely. The difference in suffix is really where the difference comes in. In this case, the A suffix looks like it's the forged, and the C suffix looks to be the cast version.

For clarification, the GT crank is not a casting, it is forged, as is the Boss.

The difference is the balance, the GT is balanced for the powdered metal rods and cast pistons, the Boss for the forged rods and pistons.

My verdict is the track pack is still a nice package for the price. upgraded components done factory correct with full warranty. A nice package to build on when the warranty honeymoon is over, so I feel good about my machine. it still has enough power to get me jail time if I abuse the privilege. Alas no race tracks for me to run on where I am. Drag strip but I just can't bring myself to thrash the car.

There's no doubt at all that the Track Pack is an outstanding value for the components it adds over the basic Brembo package.

Of course if you're not road racing the car, all those extras are just good for bragging rights.

The 2013 gt has the same aluminum block as a boss. They do have forged cranks, some kind of coated pistons and rods the reason you get diff part numbers for the boss vs gt is that they are diff. The gt has forged crank and hyp pistons and looks like standard rod. The boss has a BALANCED forged crank, matched by the BALANCED piston and rod set. So they are deff diff but the gt did get upgraded in 2013. They also def have no oil squirter at all for the piston. Im a tech at ford and we just took a 2013 apart trying to identify this tick issue. We ordered all new parts and I have a 2011 I blew up on boost that I had the parts laying around still. They are def diff pistons crank and block w no oil squirter. i still dont get why it matters. W out the rods and pistons to match a forged crank it doesnt matter a bit. The crank has never been the weakest link lol! And you cant just throw boss rods and pistons on a gt crank due to the balance. But you can throw mmr rod and piston set on the gt crank and be stronger than the boss and the boss would have to rebalance for the manley rods n pistons. But yea thats whats up w the numbers. This applies to all 2013 gts not just the track pack.

When I had my Track Pack in for the Timing Cover oil leak, I also asked the Master Tech who worked on my vehicle to listen to the clutch. I had a noticeable noise from the clutch (Not the Pedal) when letting the clutch out. He thought the noise was not an issue and mentioned he thought the Track Pack cars had a different clutch than a standard GT. Anyone else heard of this?
