a few new owner questions-2013 v6
Hi all,
I am fairly new here...I have a few questions-
I noticed that on my 2013 V6 mustang, I have a silver metal-flat heat shield on top of the driver side exhaust manifold, but not one on the passenger side. Is this normal? I was looking at the suspension related to the hot weather clunk...I noticed the CAT is about 2 inches from the suspension and unshieled! I guess that's why the TSB talks about a heat sheild?
Anyone else have trouble with a door not latching easily when shut? It takes a hard throw. (the dealer adjusted once without success)
How full is your brake fluid resevor? Mine is full to the top and leaking it appears.
thanks!

Heat shield missing on the right on mine also, actually since Job 2 on the 2011's I think.
My right door was hard to close, re-timed the window and fixed it, it will tell you how in the Owners Manual.
Mine is a little below the full mark, but 26,000 miles will do that as the brakes push out a little. Have the brakes been done on the car, that will raise the fluid if it has been added before.

Was the Mustag bought new or used?f used, maybe a previous owner took the car to a oil change service center, and a person there simply topped off the brake fluid. There's a fill mark on the side; use a turkey baster to suck out any access.
Ok, the over-fill on the brake fluid reservoir is a factory F-up. Almost all of the 13 Shelby's had this problem and I'm sure it migrates to all other Mustangs, as well. Just syphon off some with a clean squeeze bulb (turkey baster) to the full mark level on the reservoir, and you will be fine. Can't speak on the heat shield issue.

I recommend you make an appointment with your dealer and do a walk through with your Service Manager. Have him address your concerns and PM me with your VIN, dealer, full name, mileage, and best daytime number so I can escalate it if needed.
