ETA's
The ETA to actual deliveries are all over the place because a high percentage of the early builds are / were kept in the lot pending some unknown fix. My guess is the earlier the car, the greater the difference between ETA and actual delivery. Only time will tell.
I've been told in "Transit" several times but now I ask the Reps to read every single word listed on their computer, all updates cease after arriving at the mysterious RAMP 51. I'm not sure but the Reps might consider "in transit" to confirm its left the plant, were as I orginally assumed that meant it was on a CHOO CHOO Train.
ETA's
do our ordered cars show up on the ford site when you search dealer inventories? I noticed that it took 2 weeks from the time a GT showed up on the dealer inventory to the day it was delivered.... just a thought
I hope not. My dealer has a 2011 Gt Convertible in Ford's system already, sticker reads it was built last week. Nada on my Feb2 preorder.
I'd say that if your dealer can see the transit information in his system showing your car has actually moved from AAI, then your date may be a good one. That would suggest that the car is not sitting at some ramp and is on the rail system heading to the dealer, (barring any delays with the shipper).
I've had several ETA's that came and went ramp 51, then 5P, the latest ETA of 5/20 shows the car is moving !! with several tracking stops and now at Walbridge OH. I tend to believe this latest ETA, four days ~800 miles but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed and my meds handy.

My car didnt make the ETA but It was the because of a shortage of truck transportation at the destination rail terminal. This was due to the release of all the on hold cars during the previous 3 to 6 days. It sat 217 miles from my dealer for 5 days before the cars ahead of it were loaded and delivered. That made it 4 days late.
Dont get to discouraged when the system goes quite. One of the On Hold Cars (Build 4/01) showed up at my dealers on 5/03 and the System still had it as "On Ramp - Awaiting Transit". According to the dealer its all to common for this to happen.
ETA was/is still 5/6. It's been "in transit" since 4/20 which, to Ford, simply means that it's in a rail car (has been handed off to the rail company) but doesn't mean that it's actually moving.
Well considering the hold wasnt released on GTs until 4/27 it would have been hard to make that one. My dealer has received a 4/01 Build nearly a week ago so we know they had gotten that far into the lot (First in last out. It sucks but thats the way it is.)
I just hope mine comes before 7/4 ( build 5/20...eta 5/22 yeah yeah , I believe that !) so I can use my rebate.. I will order new brochures every other day so I don't have an expired rebate.
