Well considering the hold wasnt released on GTs until 4/27 it would have been hard to make that one. My dealer has received a 4/01 Build nearly a week ago so we know they had gotten that far into the lot (First in last out. It sucks but thats the way it is.)

there is a hold on some of the cars. They said they will decide on 5/24 when/if they will
ship my car and will call me on 5/25 to inform me on details. Ofcourse the rep didnt know
what the problem was (yea right!) but there was one. I assume the cars being built now
are complete but sounds like earlier builds were missing parts.

According to a Ford rep who looked into my delay (built 4/13, eta 4/22 still at ramp 51)

This shouldn't be much of a surprise. We were pretty sure that these early builds were going to have some shipping delays. It has happened with most of the new models. The later production cars end up at the dealer sooner than alot of the early builds.

Yeah, I imagine the holding area for truck transports is smaller. But the other person who ordered a car at the same dealer a couple of weeks later is still waiting I think. His was a "retail" order. Seems the shipping process for Ford is really random.

My ETA was changed from 5/17 (today) to 5/18, a one day change! The dealer said due to the closeness of Ohio & Michigan, it won't ship by rail, it will come directly here by truck. So the one day change is a good thing....I hope!

I guess it's a good thing I'm a patient person.This is the first time I've ordered a car so I did'nt know what to expect.I ordered my base GT on 4/17 with a build date the week of 5/10.I was given a original eta of 5/23 but the last update it was changed to 6/1.I was happy to just see my window sticker show last week
I hope there wont be any delays with my car but I wont count on it.I have yet to see a 2011 Mustang here in Los Angeles.I plan to go to one of the dealers that have them just to get a look at one in person.
