You could just install the bug guard once the weather gets bad and take it off for summer, or get a clear bra. That would look 100x better IMO.

I'd recommend having the bug shield painted to match the car, stripes and all.

+1 to painting the bug shield, that sounds like a great idea to keep the good looks AND functionality!

And when you don't want it you can take it off. Sounds perfect.

Mods are good and all...im more interested in vid at mont-tremblant (which i just loved!!!)

-can anyone go drive there car there? or did you need some type racing license
-have you had pro driving lessons? (or perhaps more?)
-was trying to zoom in,but still hard to tell...what did you get it up to on straights km's?
-did you have to do anything beforehand to prep car?

No special training. I usually run with the BMW and Audi clubs. They have different run groups based on experience; for beginner & intermediate, you have an instructor at all times when you are on the track. In my case, I've been doing autoslalom for about 10 years and track like on the video for about 4 years. I love to frustrate M3 and Porsches on the track

FYI, I was doing about 215-220km/h in the back straight.

The only thing I did was to put dedicated race pads and wheels with sticky tires; but for a beginner, all you need is a helmet and a car in good running order ! I will needs Brembos next year ... my race pads that used to last over 10 track days on my 2005 lasted about 2 days with the 2011 ... even with the larger rotors !

For more vids, just search for my knickname: madmax69ca

Actually, I first ordered the car without (the main reason is I didn't want to have to fit 18" wheels for track days) and when I found out that my 17" cleared the Brembos (while trying on a 2008 GT500), I changed the order ... the dealer said that the system accepted the change but when I got the window sticker off the Ford site a couple weeks later ... no Brembos !

I couldn't wait longer (already had a 3 week delay AFTER I sold my 2005) so accepted the car without the Brembos knowing that I could always fit those later ... long story !
