Engine cut out under Acceleration
Engine cut out under Acceleration
So this past weekend I come off the interstate and jump on it in 1st gear then hit 2nd and then 3rd and all of a sudden the engine dies out at about 6000 rpm (like it was bogging down) for about a second and then is fine. This is now the 3rd time this has happened, anyone else experience anything like this?
2011 Premium GT, 400 A, Performance White, MT82, Airaid CAI, JLT oil separator, GT500 axle backs, BMR panhard bar, 35% window tint, side window louvers.

I have had this on my v6 as well, while getting on it well it seems to have a slight throttle lag for a second or two tell I push threw it. Does not happen on BP.. But has happened on Shell.

Was it bucking or just felt like it lost power? Is it possible you were spinning the tires or rolling side to side? The traction/stability control is pretty aggressive in the normal setting and will retard engine power a huge amount. The car feels like it's falling on its face when this happens.

Mine did this to me yesterday. Was getting on the interstate, never went over 4000rpm. Check engine light started to flash, but never stayed on. Power dropped off as soon as the light began to flash. After about one min, the light stopped flashing and power came back. I don't know if a flashing light will save a code on the computer. Still looking that one up. No mods to the car other than GT500 mufflers.
The road pitches left and then back right. It will trigger the stab control every time in normal mode and the car will fall on its face when I shift from 1st to 2nd.Try sport mode. Hit the traction control button 2 times quickly from a complete stop or nearly stopped. It will tell you the sport mode is engaged in the message center, and the TC off light will illuminate. It's much less aggressive in sport mode but will keep you from getting in too much trouble. Turning it completely off by holding the button down for 6 seconds is the most fun, but be careful. It will bite you really quick if you're not careful.
