Its the Brembos and the pads need to be bedded down. My E92 M3 did the same thing until I did about 5 hard stops after 500 miles.

Like I said I have already done that, and bedding them down would make sense if my brakes were squealing while braking. A car shouldn't squeal during normal driving regardless if brakes have been bedded in or not. Specially since the pads don't come in contact with the rotor unless your braking.

when you look at a pad its very close to the rotor without touching, SO did you check if the pads is already contacting the rotor causing a noise even before your braking? Is there dirt or any crap stuck in between the pad/rotor surface? Is the rotor marked up at all? Backing plate touching or any peices of metal touching? Is the rotor rubbing on the caliper itself, check for any marks? Only reason i ask all these is because you shouldnt be squealing unless there is something contacting the rotor surface while NOT braking.

I solved a similar issue by driving around 40 mph and using the hand brake to bring the car to a stop. After repeating the process several times the squeel went away. It might not apply in this case but it won't hurt to try.

I'll have to check but the rotor does feel clean and smooth, the only thing is a lip is forming on the outside edge of the rotor.

I believe that the pads have constant contact with the rotors although I would be surprised that would wear a lip so soon.

Did they forget the anti-squeal plates?

Over the years I have had sticky calipers that needed to be replaced. They would not release completely. But there was some pulling (one side) and you could hear the heat ticking off the hot rotor and there was some hot brake smell.

Just throwing that out there...

I took the anti squel plates (thin tin like plate) and the car stopped squeling when I stopped. I got a good chuckle out of that, the part that is designed to stop the noise wasmaking the noise.

could be- but with todays deep offset wheels they dont pull like they used to if any at all...ABS brakes required near no offset(often negative) so the steering dont pull when ABS kicks out a wheel...my old truck would pull like crazy when a caliper stuck...

Ive noticed a lot of times too a stck caliper will often coat the wheel with a rustlike stain thats tough to remove...seen it on my lincoln a couple times, before noticing anything driveability wise...hot brake dust I guess, know its fun to remove.

This has been happening since you first got the car? IMO you shouldn't have even gone a mile from the dealership with that problem, I would have made a U-turn.

No this just started happening. I am taking it in tomorrow morning. I thought it had stopped but on my way home after about 10 mins of driving it started squeaking again, hit the brake and it stops. Fun stuff.

Mine were squealing when I wasn't on the brake. When I braked the squealinig went away...keep in mind the pads are always in contact, although very little when it comes to disc brakes.

And so of course the Ford techs couldn't replicate the problem. Their answer, "well we cleaned up some brake dust." And wouldn't you know it when I picked up my car, conveniently after the techs had gone home, the car starts squealing from the getgo. Just going to take it to the brake guys and have them see whats wrong, because it is obvious I am going to get nowhere fast with ford.

would love to go head to head but I cant take leave just so I can go and fight with dealers. Them not being open on saturdays kinda kills my whole thing. Not having the brake guys fix it, just showing me whats wrong so I can go back to Ford and say look. Get off at 4:30 techs leave at 5, have to be to work at 7:30 drop car off at 7. Would love to fight them but have an ******* captain that isnt about giving duty time for personal stuff.

I know its goofy, but I've seen very small stones get caught in the caliper area that will make a squeel sound pretty much all the time. If the sun, moon and stars line up just right, they can get in there.

Yep, had that happen on a neon I owned 10 years ago.

Do you have a portable audio recorder, maybe your phone, worth a try.
Hold mike outside of window but pointed out of the wind.

Also try getting car up to speed and kill the engine, turn key to on so electric steering will work (I may be way off here) and see if you can record squeal.
