EcoBoosted Ford Mustang not in the cards... for now
Nothing wrong with the Ford Probe. It was a cool little car. But I'm sure as hell glad it didn't replace the Ford Mustang.
I can't decide if I like the idea of an EcoBoost Mustang or not. I definitely would not want it to take the place of a N/A V8 though.

I wouldn't propose replacing the V8 with an EB V6. But I would like to see a future Mustang GT give you your choice of an EB V6 or Coyote V8. The EB V6 could be tuned so that it made the same horsepower as the V8. Some people would choose the EB V6 for the superior fuel economy. Some would choose the V8 for the sound and the ability to add supercharging. Although the EB V6 would be more costly to build, the future CAFE penalties may even out the bottom line price.
If the Turbo 4 was offered there wouldn't be a need for a V6
(depending on size and power)
It's not like people would be like the V8 folk... "I'm not buying a Mustang unless it has a V6...."
