Are you planning on more mods? If so, you may want to hold off a tune until your mods are complete(for now at least). If you tune and add mods after, another tune may be needed. Then again, mod lists never end. Lol

This x1000. Good luck though on trying to get the mgw. I have been supposedly on the waiting list for like 3 months.

Dyno tune would be my choice. The second batch of MGW's are all spoken for I believe so it might be awhile before you're able to get one.

Wow... I must have just gotten in! I was #81 of the 100.

My suggestion would still be to go with the MGW. Besides, no warranty void... just plop the oem back in if needed. Can't be said the same of tune.

correct me if im wrong, but with LTs and MOST CAIs wont you need a tune regardless? With any tune you can run the risk of being denied service/warranty voided.

^ right. The steeda Cai I beleive comes with an accompanying tune. The non tune Cai's, are not worth it because of the very minimal gains.

Wrong. Yes the gains are lower than a tune CIA, but 20 something HP and 20 something torque gained is not minimal.

Either 5.0 Mustang or Muscle Mustangs tested the Airraid and made substantial power gains.

If you installed LT's and a CAI, even if it's considered a "non-tune" CAI, you should still get a tune to optimize performance. Why spend all the money and not get the most out of the parts?

Get the shifter, data log your tune and send it to your tuner.

Short shifter. No use making a ton of power if you can't reliably put it down without missing shifts.

I had my barton shifter and bracket months before the car even arrived.

If there is documented proof that switching to a simple CAI with no tune provides upwards of 20whp, then I stand corrected. From what I have read and spoken to other 5.0 owners, CAI's with no tune are not worth it.

^ Same as me... I will have my MGW shifter waiting for me before car arrives

BTW, is the stock shifter that bad, thus causing missed shifts, even when driving on the street?
