Some drag radials would help a lot I had nittos back when I was going to the track. They were 10.5 and to get full contact patch was 11psi. What mustang do you have auto or manual?

2013 gt w/ Track pak, 6m, 1/2 of gas. Drive to track, take 80lb tool bag out of trunk, pull to line, launch like I'm getting on freeway, 12.8x@112.X mph

Don't over think it, have fun, lift it any trouble during run, there's always another run to make.

Not sure if you have an auto or manual, but some of the basics first. For traction i would have about 1/2 tank of gas and i would lower the rear air pressure down to the mid 20s. Depending on the track, you will have to have your car tech inspect before you can race which it's not a big deal. Also watch the staging lanes since tracks line cars up just for drag tires.
If you're running street tires, do not drive through the water box, drive around it. Once you are around the box, back up some too give yourself room to do a small burnout to just scrub the tires. Stock tires don't need a big smoking burnout. After that move to the tree and inch forward until you light up the second yellow and wait for the tree lights to drop.
In the beginning, i would leave at idle and ease into the acceleration until you get a feel for the track prep.
Also, depend on track prep you might want to tape your lower rear qtr panel or spray pam cooking spray there to ease the vht clean up.

Drape racing, huh?

Maybe this is the type of drag racing you're looking for.
