If so, do you like it?

I have always had stick cars my whole life, but much of my driving now is sitting in traffic.

I am so torn on what to do.

1998 Acura Integra Sedan - auto - bought new lease
1999 Honda Civic Si - stick - bought new
2001 Acura Integra GS - auto - bought new lease
2001 Honda s2000 - stick - bought new
2002 Corvette z06 - stick - bought new lease
2003 VW Jetta 1.8t - stick - bought new lease
2005 Infiniti G35x - auto - bought new lease
2005 Honda s2000 - stick - bought new lease

I'd consider it if it had paddle shifters. Of course, I would LOVE DCT but I'm not holding my breath. I bet we'll see paddle shifters soon.

From wha we've heard, the clutch is pretty light and shifter is very precise. If you have driven stick all your life, I would get it. I've never owned a manual car (only 22, on my 2nd car) but have wanted to all my life. I was going to buy a manual and I was driving in stop and go every day, 80 miles a day.

How do you go from having a V8 performance car to an 08 Civic Si.

You gotta miss the power. That is my problem. I am to used to 300hp and think anything less would seem slow.

Yep, I got the automatic. Planning on swtiching jobs, so my daily drive will be in traffic soon. Plus didn't want to teach my wife how to drive a clutch on a 400 HP Mustang.

The automatic pretty good, but its hard to give it just enough gas to downshift without it dropping two low and then everybody looks at you like youa are a maniac. But if you manually shift it its pretty fun. You only get 1,2 and 3rd, but third winds out to over 80 miles an hour.

The auto is geared low, at 70ish I'm turning 2000 RPM, thats probably why they only offer the 3.15's.

I've learned a couple things:
1. If you want it to hold gears a little longer, put it in hill assit mode, it acts alot like the sport mode on my Audi.
2.It's going to need a tuner to firm up the shift points

I got a 2011 5.0 auto. There are no paddle shifters. Although it would be decent bonus, I probably would never really use it. Ford did a pretty good job with the shift points on the '11 and it will only be even better with a tune. On WOT, 1st is so steep that the car tries to get from under you real quick. 2nd is gone before you know it . If you're getting a stang and you want more of the fun factor, get a stick... period. If you're like me and using it as a daily driver, commute in traffic frequently, and live in an area that has speed traps galour, an auto would be ok. Honestly, the auto is still pretty fun to drive.
