do the 19" tires stick compared to 18" from the line?

do the 19" tires stick compared to 18" from the line?
i was looking at the 19" today and they really dont look that wide.. i would be looking for something wider? any help would be appreciated.

In brief, the 19's are 10mm (1cm) wider than the 18's.
It's rather trivial at best to say tho...
