DIY install on Vortech V-3 Si-Trim Supercharger
I am working hard on convincing the wife to let me get the V-3 Si-Trim SC, but in the effort to save money I am wodnering how difficult it is to install this yourself?
I am technically inclined, but I have never tackled something this in detail. But watching many videos about the install it seems as if something I can do if I took my time.
Anyone know if Vortech ahs good install documentation and phone support for installation?
Thanks for any input,
Chris

However, a few months later I had a defective bearing in the blower that Vortech was willing to cover under their warranty, but they didn't cover R&R of the blower. I decided that I would remove the blower, ship it to Vortech, and reinstall it myself to save the labor cost. As a daily driver, I had to convert the car to run as stock while I waited nearly 2 months to get my blower back from Vortech. I was surprised how easy it was to uninstall the blower and reinstall it.

When I bought a V-2 S-Trim for my '07 GT, I paid our shop to install it as I was a bit intimidated by installing something this important.

Write an email to Vortech Customer Service and ask them for the installation instructions; then you will know exactly what you are getting into.
