I agree. I had the HUD in my 2002 GTP and 2004 GTP. I still miss it, especially at night with the dash dimmed. Hopefully, the new gen Mustang will get one.

There are some aftermarket HUD available, not to much talk on them though. I am hoping the 14 will have it, and be able to install it on the 11+.

It does work on a 13!! I just tried it and made a video...

Hold down the OK button then turn on the ignition. The Mustang Logo will appear then it will go to your regular screen. Keep holding the button! A couple seconds after it will go into test mode. RELEASE THE OK BUTTON. If you hold on too long it will go back to regular mode. As soon as you release the button it will go right in to a gauge test and you will see them sweep. It also has a color test, and one to light up all your idiot lights.

Press the OK button to scroll through the options. The speed is buried at the end.

You can change the display of your 9500ix to show your speed at all times.

I didn't realize there was more past the speedometer part. Digital tach, coolant temp, instant MPG's and much more info. Most of it cryptic, but i'm sure people out there may be able to figure it all out.

Here is an updated video of them all.

I am still amazed at the 9500ix - off topic, but fun - the joke in the car is when the KA band goes off, find the radar in the cop car. Today it took 2 min as he was a few miles in front of me (heading towards me on the freeway). it's a great detector, well spent money, I'm sure it's saved me from a few pull overs in the last month.
